MEPs propose 1,160 amendments to MiCA
MEPs proposed amendments to MiCA will significantly impact the formation of the final compromises and the Parliament's position in the upcoming Trilogue negotiations.

Members of the European Parliament tabled 1,160 amendments to the European Commission's proposed Markets in Crypto-assets Regulation (MiCA). Members' views are diverse reflecting both differences in understanding of the technology and differences in the agendas of the political parties. Although we cannot predict the final text the Parliament will adopt, we expect that the impact of these amendments will be significant on the formation of the final compromises and the Parliament's position in the upcoming Trilogue negotiations with the Commission and the Council.
