As the Chief Revenue Officer at VASPnet, Elsa is responsible for client engagement and success. After 20 years in institutional sales management roles in traditional capital markets, she spent the last four years as a go-to-market strategy and execution consultant for blockchain-related projects in the UK, North America and Asia. She has vast experience helping start-ups and global institutions navigate regulatory changes, including the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), Dodd-Frank and the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and the Financial Action Task Force’s Anti-money Laundering (AML) guidance.

Through an assignment with Japan-based SBI Group, Elsa spent several years acting as international Managing Director for Sygna, an AML Travel Rule technical solution developed by CoolBitX, Ltd., one of the company’s crypto infrastructure investments. She has participated in interVASP Messaging Standards (IVMS-101) and other working groups to assist in the development of industry-wide standards and has frequently appeared on panels and interviews discussing the implications of FATF’s Travel Rule on virtual asset service providers (VASPs).

Prior to Sygna, Elsa worked for the leading derivatives exchange CME Group, most recently as Head of EMEA and Asia-Pacific Buyside Client Development & Sales, following senior business development roles at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Georgetown University. She also holds a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
